Deborah Sanders Obituary

Deborah “Debbie” Lynne Ressegger was born on June 20, 1957 to Omar and Wanda (Cutlip) Ressegger in Groton, Connecticut. She grew up in San Diego, California where she graduated from Madison High School with the class of 1975. 

On April 8, 1978 Debbie was united in marriage to Richard “Rick” Sanders at the Hitching Post Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was blessed with 2 daughters: Stephanie and Jennifer. Together they made their home in San Diego. In 1990, they moved to Minnesota, making their home in Bluffton and later Wadena. Debbie was employed with Peoples Express in Wadena for 26 years. She held the position of office manager until her retirement in 2020. 

Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Two of her favorite hobbies included cooking and playing bingo.

On August 25, 2021, Debbie passed away surrounded by her loving family at St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls, Minnesota at 64 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Debbie in death are her parents: Omar and Wanda; sister: Donna; sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Sanda”; father-in-law: Richard William Sanders; and mother-in-law: Katherine Domingo. 

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Rick Sanders of Wadena; daughters: Stephanie (Robert) Scherping of Little Falls; and Jennifer (Shane Nielsen) Sanders of Wadena; 5 grandchildren: Jaiden, Dylan, Grace, Evan, and Walker; brothers: Cecil “ CW “ Ressegger of Verndale; Michael Ressegger of Wentzville, Missouri; and David (Joy) Ressegger of Bullhead City, Arizona; brother-in-law: Bill (Andi) Sanders of Oceanside, California; sister-in-law: Lorraine “Cookie” (Keith) Pleester of Watertown, Wisconsin ; many other relatives and a host of friends.
