On June 10, 1978, Deborah was united in marriage with Roger Leonard Krebs at the Zion North Effington Lutheran Church in rural Parkers Prairie, Minnesota.
Deborah and Roger made their home in St. Paul, Minnesota where Roger attended Concordia College. From 1987 - 1991. Then from 1991-1995, they resided in Fort Wayne, Indiana where Roger studied at the Concordia Theological Seminary. In 2012 Deborah and Roger made their home in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota while Roger was the pastor at Zion North Effington Church in rural Parkers Prairie for 8 years. She enjoyed traveling, volunteering at the local nursing home, gardening, and cooking (she jokingly would say to Roger that when she died that it should be put on her gravestone that “Debbie made good soups” which she did! She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, doing all kinds of crafts, playing cards and board games, going fishing, and feeding and watching birds. She especially enjoyed and loved her cockapoo dogs, especially the last two, Annie and Maggie.
Debbie very much longed for and looked forward to going to heaven and now she is there. She loved serving the Lord in any way she could. She was a very loving, supportive wife. She was the best wife a man could ever have had. During their 44 years of marriage, Debbie and Roger moved 15 times, with Debbie doing most of the packing and unpacking.
On December 26, 2022, Deborah passed away peacefully at Knute Nelson Care Center in Alexandria, Minnesota at 71 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her husband, family, and friends. Preceding Deborah in death were her parents, Alvin and Delores Johnson and her brother, Thomas Johnson.
