Deanna Roe Zeller, 81, passed away at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on July 4, 2026. Deanna was born March 2, 1945, to Roy and Eunice (Johnson) Schwartz in Wadena, MN. She graduated from Wadena High School and attended the Wadena Area Technical Institute.

Deanna married James Zeller on June 6, 1964, in Wadena and their union was blessed with four children: Brenda, Bruce, Bobbi, and Jennifer. Deanna was a homemaker until her youngest child was in school full time then joined the work force. She worked as a para for the Dilworth Public Schools, was a bakery manager in Lincoln, NE, and then worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND in Fargo until she retired in 2007. In her retirement she enjoyed gardening, quilting, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and going ice fishing in the winter with Jim.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Brenda Zeller.

Deanna is survived by her husband of 62 years Jim; children: Bruce (Jodi) Zeller, Bobbi (Shannon) Ruziska, Jennifer (Paul) Nelson; grandchildren: Chase (Leandra) Zeller, Emily (Elyssa) Ruziska, Caleb Ruziska, Joseph Nelson and Samuel Nelson; great grandchildren: Natalie and Aria Zeller; siblings: Denise (Tom) Webster, Kathy Kortas, Gerald (Penny Quie) Schwartz, and Harvey (Christine) Schwartz;sister-in-law Charlene Moran; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Per Deanna's wishes there will be no services.  A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
