David Paul Reiners was born on July 21, 1957, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His parents were the late Fredrick John and Margaret Carolyn (Olive) Reiners. David graduated from Roosevelt High School with the class of 1976. He graduated from the Dunwoody Institute with a degree in tool & die.
On August 1, 1998, David was united in marriage with Kathleen Marie Carlson at Easter Lutheran Church in Eagan, Minnesota. They resided in Eagen for 24 years as David retired in 2021. In 2022 they made their home in rural Wadena where David loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting deer with his son Jon and went together on memorable hunting trips where they harvested caribou, bison and mule deer. He also enjoyed fishing for walleyes, smallmouth bass and northern pike. David enjoyed gardening and spent ample time tending to his plants. Most notably planting a pumpkin patch for his two grandkids Declan and Ellie. So they could pick their own pumpkins each fall.
On May 27, 2024, David passed away unexpectedly at his home in rural Wadena, Minnesota at 66 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding David in death were his parents, Fredrick and Margaret Reiners; brother-in-law, Tom Chrast, niece Allison and nephew Jacob Reiners and the Reiners family German wirehaired pointer(s), Pepper & Rusty.
David is survived by his wife Kathleen; son, Jon (Molly) Reiners; 2 grandchildren: Declan & Ellie; siblings: James (Laurian) Reiners, Joanne Chrast and Danial (Nancy) Reiners; nieces and nephews, many other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Easter Lutheran Church on the Hill, 4200 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan, MN 55122.
