David Ross Burrows was born on January 31, 1939, in Wadena, Minnesota.  His parents were the late Eugene Raymond Burrows and Lenna Ruth (Schoupe) Burrows.  David graduated  Wadena High School class of 1957 and then attended the Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis.

David served in the United States Army for February 19, 1958 to February 17, 1961 where he served active duty in Korea. He continued for 5 years in the Minnesota Army reserves and worked various in Wadena.

On January 13, 1962, David was united in marriage with Louise Emma Matter in Staples, Minnesota.  The happy couple made their home in Minneapolis for ten years where they raised their three boys: David, Gene and Randall. While in Minneapolis, David worked for Rudy and Dudd’s Body Shop. In 1972 they made their home in Perham where Dave opened Burrows Auto Body Shop and they were blessed with their daughter, Nicole.

After his own business venture, he decided to go work for Fiskum’s Auto Parts from 1982-1989 before making a move to Sacramento, California. While living in Sacramento, David worked for a couple of different body shops, most notably, Terry Arnold and Fratcher.

Moving back to Wadena in 1998, David was employed for Franks Auto Body in Perham until retirement. While he had a vast knowledge of cars from his career and car shows, he had many other interests as well. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and he especially loved spending quality time with his family and friends. His loving wife, Louise, sadly passed away on August 7, 2021.

Dave passed away peacefully at St. Williams Care Center in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota at 85 years of age.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.  Preceding Dave in death were his parents Eugene and Lena (Schoupe) Burrows; wife, Louise; brother Don (Mary) Burrows of Staples; sisters Francis (Edward) Peterson of Wadena, Betty (Pete) Beldo of Battle Lake, and Rosella (Dick) Mcall of Stockton, California; nephews Jim Beldo of Minneapolis, Kipp Peterson of Perham, and Craig Peterson of Perham.
