Darcy Franklin Brauch was born on August 6, 1950 to Peter and Caroline (Stevens) Brauch in the Wesley Hospital in Wadena. He graduated from Wadena High School with the class of 1968 before attending the Wadena Technical college and earning a degree in civil engineering and specializing in surveying. He was employed for the state of Minnesota at the DNR for 28 years and worked as the survey crew chief.
Darcy Brauch and Diane Swanson were married from 1976 to 1990 and had one child named Dwayne Brauch.
On March 16, 1996 Darcy was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Davis at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Bluegrass, Minnesota. Mary and Darcy owned and operated Storge Group Home in Wadena from 2007 to 2012, and recently taught at SonRise Christian School of Bluffton.
Darcy enjoyed working in his yard, wood working, and on Sundays he would unwind by watching the Minnesota Vikings and had become a fan of the Twins.
Darcy is survived by his children: Dwayne (Hillorie) Brauch of Cottage Grove; 7 grandchildren: Kyleigh, Kayde, Cooper, Madalynn, Shelbie, Cruz, and Kazin; his sister-in-law: Kay (Mike) Lynch of San Antonio, Texas; and his brother-in-law: Danny (Diane) Davis of Verndale.
Preceding Darcy in death are his parents Peter and Caroline Brauch; and his wife Mary Brauch.
