Cody Maaninga

Cody Weller Maaninga was born on July 1, 1988 in Park Rapids, Minnesota. His parents are Gregory and Tamberleene (Toppari) Maaninga.  Cody attended Menahga High School and enjoyed countless hours of riding dirt bikes and snowmobiles with his friends after school. He was then employed with a local dairy farmer west of Sebeka, Minnesota from 2010 to 2016 and that is where he found his love for farming. 

Cody was united in marriage to Bethany Rae Pederson on December 13, 2014 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Menahga, Minnesota.  Their marriage was blessed with two children, Paisley and Parker. He was employed with Hodgden Logging for a short time and most recently loved his new job working with RDO operating machinery. Cody was an excellent mechanic and welder.  He enjoyed drag racing with his dad and was passionate about building his own car to race some day. Cody and Bethany enjoyed taking the side-by-side on the trails, raising Holstein calves and watching their beef herd grow.

On October 15, 2018 Cody passed away at 30 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Cody is survived by his wife, Bethany; their two children: Paisley and Parker; his parents: Gregory and Tamberleene Maaninga; father and mother-in-law: Rick and Jenny Pederson; grandparents: Harlin and Judy Maaninga and Les and Gwen Toppari; sisters: Carly (Scott) Klicker and Sara Maaninga; brother-in-law, Bryan (Aaryka) Pederson; many other relatives and a host of friends.
