Christina (Vogt) Olson

Christina Olson, age 45, of Henning, Minnesota passed away on June 7, 2024, in Browerville, Minnesota.

Christina Vogt was born on December 9, 1978, to David and Joyce (Smith) Vogt in Alexandria, Minnesota. Christina graduated from Henning High School in 1997.

On July 22, 2010, Christina was united in marriage to Joseph “Joe” Olson, Jr. in Las Vegas at the Elvis Chapel. Christina worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, including Homecrest in Wadena, Lund Boats in Ottertail and finally at the Heart of the Lakes Elementary School in Perham. She was a hard worker and will be missed by the Facilities staff.

Christina enjoyed life and the many adventures it brought. She was always looking forward and never backward. She never had trouble making friends. She enjoyed laughter and bringing laughter to others, especially telling jokes. She enjoyed helping her father in the garden, chopping wood and shoveling snow off the roof. She really loved her sons, Tristin and Noah. They were the best part of her and she was proud of the young men they were becoming. While she had a separate personality from her brothers, Matthew and Benjamin, they had a special bond that was especially held together by their grandma June. She loved collecting agate rocks and if you cannot find any, it’s probably because she has them all. She had so many friends throughout her life and touched the lives of many. While at Henning High School, Christina participated in basketball, volleyball, softball and FFA.

Preceding Christina in death is her mother; Joyce (Smith) Vogt, her grandparents; Bernard “Benny” and Lucille (Kuhne) Vogt, Joe and June (Hotchkiss) Smith.

Christina is survived by her loving husband Joe; father, David Vogt; siblings: Matthew Vogt and Benjamin Vogt; children: Tristin and Noah Roggenkamp; stepdaughter Haili; many other relatives and a host of friends.
