Charlene Gail Motschenbacher, 66, of Hewitt, MN passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 surrounded by family at the Sanford Broadway Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota.
Charlene was born on January 29, 1955, in Fargo, North Dakota, daughter to Ambrose and Helen (Zebley) Motschenbacher. She attended school and graduated Moorhead High School with the class of 1973. She later attended Wadena Technical College, graduating in 1992.
Charlene was united in marriage to her first husband Bennie Ray Gardner in August 1976 and they were blessed with a daughter: Krystal. Charlene was united in marriage to her second husband Larry Schul Jr. on July 19, 1985, in Bemidji, Minnesota. They were blessed with two children: Amber and Anthony. The family lived in many places like North Carolina, Minnesota and California before moving back to Minnesota to make their home.
Charlene worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses and as a clerk for an auction house. She loved the social time there as well as the meat raffles and thrifting.
Charlene enjoyed baking, shopping and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings but most of all she cherished spending time with her family. She was a devoted mother and Nana attending as many extracurricular events as possible. She delighted in holidays and celebrating life. She took joy in traveling with her significant other Charles going on many adventures and making memories.
Charlene was welcomed into Heaven and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and brother Bruce Motschenbacher.
Charlene is survived by her significant other of 19 years Charles Jasmer; her children: Krystal (George) Heller, Amber (Benjamin) Horstmann, and Anthony (Avenlee) Schul; grandchildren: Paige, Kaitlin, Leona, Chloe, Adam, Olivia, and one on the way Virginia; brothers: Steven (Peggy) Motschenbacher and Ted Motschenbacher; and many other relatives and a host of friends.
