Celesta Kyar

Celesta Ione (Snyder) Kyar was born on February 11, 1953 to Leslie and Ione (Gossell) Snyder in Olivia, Minnesota. She attended Bertha-Hewitt High School, graduating with the class of 1971. Celesta was united in marriage on July 21, 1973 to David Eugene Kyar in Hewitt, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with two children.

Celesta lived in Hewitt all her life. She spent her time raising calves and her sons Kris and Kevin on their dairy farm. She then worked night shift at Golden Living Center in Henning, Minnesota for 25 years. She played piano Sunday mornings for church service, along with countless weddings and funerals. Celesta enjoyed sewing, listening to music, gardening and talking about her grandchildren.

On February 23, 2020, Celesta passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and close friends at Lakewood Health System in Staples, Minnesota at 67 years of age. She is preceded in death by her loving husband: David Kyar; and her parents: Leslie and Ione Snyder.

Celesta is survived by her sons: Kris (Lisa) Kyar and Kevin (Gail) Kyar; 6 grandchildren; siblings: Elvin (Sheila) Snyder; and Rhonda (Ed) Lowtrip; many other relatives and a host of friends.
