Carolyn Marie Mann, 84, of New York Mills, passed away on April 20, 2023 at Perham Living in Perham, Minnesota after an extended battle with cancer.
She lived a very full life and will be deeply missed. Carolyn was born on February 8, 1939 to Ida and Clement Moger in Minot, North Dakota. The Moger family moved to Washington and resided there for several years before moving back to North Dakota, where she graduated from Buxton High School, Buxton, North Dakota with the class of 1957. Carol went on to graduate from Mayville State College with a teaching degree in 1959 and through the years taught in Buxton, McHenry, and Glenfield Sutton, North Dakota. After moving to New York Mills in 1970, she also was employed for 22 years at Dairyland Veterinary Service.
In 1959, Carolyn Moger was wed to James Mann in Buxton, North Dakota, going on to have three children, Todd (Adele) Mann, Terrie (Myron) Bernu, and Kirk Mann. Carolyn loved to cook, bake (famous for her tea rings), travel, sing in the church choir, spend winters in Texas, and tend to her flowers and plants. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, Clement and Ida Moger.
She is survived by her husband, James Mann; children: Todd (Adele) Mann, Terrie (Myron) Bernu, and Kirk Mann; eight grandchildren, Bryce (Lauren) Bernu, Betsy (Erik) Kanz, Torin (Courtney) Mann, Elling (Camille) Mann, Leif (Riley) Mann, Carson Mann (Devvon), Elliot (Alexa) Mann, and Joseph Mann, three great-children, Annabelle and Beau Bernu, and Jade Mann, and one brother, Clem (Shirley) Moger; many other relatives and a host of friends.
