Carol Worms

Carol Jean Worms was born February 16, 1945, in Baldwin, WI, to Varlyn and Myrtle (Miller) Jones. Carol grew up on a farm in rural Sebeka, MN with her five siblings; Wayne, MaryLou, Dale, Phillip, and Robert. Carol attended school in Sebeka, MN.

Carol married Jack Goldie in 1962. Together they welcomed four children: Marjorie, Steven, Micheal, and Melissa. During those years they traveled and lived in California for some time, then moved back to Minnesota. Carol was a stay-at-home mom and developed some great sewing skills, making everything from clothes to quilts. They divorced in 1971.

In 1974 Carol married Dale Worms. They lived in rural Sebeka on a dairy farm they operated together. In 1984 they welcomed their daughter Melinda. Carol was passionate about farming and enjoyed raising many other kinds of animals. Carol was a skilled gardener. She loved growing and canning the vegetables she grew; canned beets were her specialty. Camping, fishing, and being outdoors were other hobbies she thoroughly enjoyed. They divorced in 1992.

Carol worked a variety of jobs; mostly she found self-satisfaction in the healthcare field helping others.

Carol met Alfred (Fred) Hunt in 1996, and they became close friends. They shared many mutual interests and spent time camping, fishing, and playing cards.

In 2001 Carol and Melinda moved into a home in Deer Creek where Melinda welcomed four children that they raised together. Carol loved spending time with her family, her door was always open and often times had an additional 1-10 kids staying in her house. She enjoyed cooking for her large family, her homemade dumplings and noodle dishes were something family would drive hours for.

Preceding Carol in death are her parents Varlyn and Myrtle Jones; four siblings: Wayne, Dale, Robert and MaryLou.

Carol is survived by her brother Phillip (Charlene) Jones, Her children: Marjorie (Randy) Branden, Steven (Ann) Goldie, Micheal (Michelle) Goldie, Melissa (Robert) Toeller, and Melinda Worms, Her 19 grandchildren: (Marjorie)-Sarah and Mikayla. (Steven)-Holly and Tori. (Michael)–Trista, Michael, Alizabeth, Tanisha, and Reagan. (Melissa)-Matthew, Steven, Bailey, Andrew, and Joseph. (Melinda)-Caitlyn, Kassandra, Hailee, and Donovan, Her 15 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
