Carol Scheller

Carol Scheller, age 85, of Wadena, Minnesota passed away on August 16, 2023, at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Alexandria, Minnesota.  Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Karvonen Funeral Home in Wadena, Minnesota with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Carol June Gould was born on June 30, 1938, to James and Loretta (Utermarck) Gould in Compton Township, Minnesota. She attended Wadena High School, graduating with the class of 1956. Carol was united in marriage to Jim Scheller. They were blessed with five children.

Carol worked at Colby Farms during the potato harvest. She also worked at Watco Printing as a supervisor for many years. She was a stay-at-home mom until all her children were in school then she started working outside of the home. Carol enjoyed canning, gardening, cooking, bowling, traveling, and going snowmobiling. She had a seasonal cabin on Lake Osakis and loved spending time out on the water.

Preceding Carol in death are her parents: James and Loretta; and siblings: Jimmy, Tim, Kathy, Patty, and Sandy.

Carol is survived by her children: Don (Jeri) Scheller; Diane (Jerry) Line; Pauline Voge; Mark (Sue) Scheller; and Monte (Lisa) Scheller; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Mike (Patty) Gould; and Sharon (Bruce) Johnson; many other relatives and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers donations are preferred to the Meals on Wheels program in Carol’s memory.
