Carol Pearson

Carol Cecelia Voge was born on January 23, 1942 at Wesley Hospital in Wadena, Minnesota.  Her parents were the late Wesley John and Luella Lillian (Wagner) Voge.  Carol was Baptized on April 15, 1942 and confirmed in April 1957 at United Methodist Church in Deer Creek.  She graduated from Deer Creek High School with the class of 1960. 

Carol made her home in Minneapolis where she was employed and met her future husband, Dennis. On August 29, 1964 Carol was united in marriage with Dennis Arthur Pearson at the United Methodist Church in Deer Creek, Minnesota.  Together Carol and Dennis made their home in Deer Creek as their marriage was blessed with 3 children: Todd, Kurt and Nissa. 

Carol was employed at the Deer Creek Creamery and then Deer Creek Fabrication that later moved to Little Falls.  Carol commuted for several years to continue to work at the  Little Falls Fabrication.  She was employed at the Elders’ Home in New York Mills as a CNA and as the City Clerk for Deer Creek, retiring in 2014. 

Carol was an active member at the Trinity Lutheran Church and LWML in Deer Creek.  She enjoyed the Morning Glory Garden Club, gardening, reading, crocheting and the weekly breakfasts with the local ladies. 

On April 1, 2022 Carol passed away peacefully at her home in Deer Creek at 80 years of age.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.  Preceding Carol in death were her parents: Wesley and Luella Voge; husband, Dennis Pearson; siblings: Alan Voge, Dale Voge, and Linda Saari.

Carol is survived by her 3 children: Todd Pearson of Wadena;  Kurt Pearson of Swanville and Nissa Pearson of Deer Creek; 2 grandchildren: Chloe and Emma; ; and sisters-in-law: Veronica (Dale) Voge and Yvonne ( Pearson) Brandt; many other family and friends.
