Bruce H. Slinden, 66 of Pine River, MN passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026; following an extended illness.
Bruce, the son of Haldo and Edna (Johnson) Slinden was born March 8, 1959, in Atwater, MN. Bruce graduated from the University of Minnesota – Morris. As an advertising consultant, Bruce worked with radio, television, print and his own agency, Adfluent Marketing
At the Christian radio station he worked at in Milbank, SD, he met his future wife, Joleen Justin. They were united in marriage on July 21, 1984. They raised two children, Rachel and Richard, in Maple Grove, MN.
Throughout extended battles and treatments over the last years of his life with Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer's, he never lost his strong Christian faith or his sense of humor. He had the lifelong knack in making others laugh, delivering a well-timed pun with a smile and a twinkle in his eye. He loved observing nature from his chair, listening to music, and sitting around a bonfire.
He is survived by his wife, Joleen; daughter Rachel (Frankie Blydenburgh), and granddaughter, Charlize (Charlie); son Richard; by his brothers, Larry (Bev) and Howard (Rita); by his brothers-in-law, Joel (Karin) Justin, Patrick (Pamela Kennedy) Justin, Mike (Judy) Justin, Jimmy Justin; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Haldo and Edna Slinden, and his in-laws James Justin and LaVerne Justin.
Services will be held at Northridge Fellowship in Rogers, MN on April 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m, with visitation an hour before the memorial. The burial will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery on April 25th at 1:30 p.m., followed by fellowship at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
