Born on October 14, 1953, in Wadena, Minnesota, Armond was the son of Armond Sr. and Doris (Schoon) Swanson. He was a devoted husband, a loving grandfather, and a man whose life quietly reflected his Christian faith.
Armond shared 24 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife and best friend, Lorrie Swanson. Together, they built a life full of adventure—spending winters at Sunnybreeze in Florida and traveling throughout the country. Whether they were on the road or at home, Armond found joy in exploring new places and spending time with Lorrie by his side.
He especially cherished time with his grandchildren—playing games, watching sports, and being present for the moments that mattered most. A lifelong sports fan, he rarely missed a game and took great joy in following his favorite teams.
Armond is survived by his loving wife, Lorrie Swanson; children, Brian Trosen (Sara), Troy Trosen (James Kenney), and Becky Johnson (Scott); and his treasured grandchildren: Elliott, Adam, and Paige Trosen; Tatum Kerwin (August) and Tobias Trosen; and Nicholas and Emma Johnson. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Swanson; his sister, Tamara (Mark) Hendrickson; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Allen Swanson, and his sister Pamela Meyer.
