Adele Leeseberg

Adele Paulette (Fischer) Leeseberg, age 79, of Wadena, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Perham Living Nursing Home in Perham, Minnesota. 

Adele Paulette Fischer was born October 1, 1944, in Wadena, Minnesota to Arthur and Denise (Debo) Fischer. Adele was confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Wadena. She attended Wadena High School, graduating with the class of 1962.

On December 16, 1962, she was united in marriage to Michael James Leeseberg at the United Methodist Church in Wadena. Their marriage was blessed with five children: Kristi, Kimberly, Darin, Troy and Paula.

Adele was employed with JC Penny as an office manager in many of their store locations until her retirement in 2010. The couple moved to Colorado for 21 years before returning to make their home in Wadena. She was very involved in the community, serving as the Wadena Hockey Parent Director, on the Wadena Dollars for Scholars Board, as a 4-H Leader for Leaf River Builders, and as the District Coordinator for District Youth Hockey Program.

Adele enjoyed sports, especially hockey and football. As a couple Adele and Michael worked with the Wadena Hockey Team for 15 years.

Deeply loved, Adele’s passing will be mourned by her daughters: Kristi (Bill) Sova of Franktown, Colorado, Kimberly Ellison of Ventura, California, and Paula (Joshua) Gray of Parker, Colorado; sons: Darin (Lisa) Leeseberg of Wadena, and Troy (Jill) Leeseberg of Miltona; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister Lois Cranston of Anoka, Minnesota; many other relatives and a host of friends. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

Adele is preceded in death by her husband Michael Leeseberg; parents Arthur and Denise; sons-in-law David Webster and Dan Ellison.
