Aaron Michael Tast was born on December 20, 1973 in Staples, Minnesota to Michael Lance and Susan Theresa (Kramer) Tast. Aaron graduated from the Wadena High School with the class of 1992. He attended Fergus Falls Community College where he graduated with a Degree in Nursing. Aaron was employed in Road Construction Management with Marks Sand and Gravel in Fergus Falls and then Riley Brothers in Morris, Minnesota. For the past 24 years, he has been the Project Manager in the Aviation Division with Braun Intertec in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Aaron’s greatest joy in life came from the people he loved most. He was deeply devoted to his family and cherished every moment spent with them. The light of his world was his beloved life partner, Melissa, and together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and lasting memories. He was an incredibly proud father to his two children, Austin and Hannah, and found immeasurable happiness in being “Papa” to his grandson, Gus.
Aaron was so much more than a life partner, son, brother, friend, and family member — he was the life of every party, a man whose contagious energy lit up every room. He lived life with passion and purpose and he had a gift for bringing people together—whether through his unforgettable dance moves, his go-to karaoke songs, or his infectious laugh that could brighten any room. His loyalty, humor, and warmth made him not only a beloved family man but also the kind of friend everyone was lucky to have.
His love for the outdoors was unmatched — whether he was teeing off at sunrise, setting up in a deer stand at dawn, cheering from the stands during a game, or traveling with the love of his life- his passion for sports, hunting, golf, and traveling was part of his heartbeat. Aaron saw golf as more than a sport—it was a way of life. The green was his sanctuary, where laughter, stories, and memories were shared with friends old and new.
On June 27, 2025 Aaron passed away unexpectedly at Essentia Health – St. Joseph Medical Center in Brainerd, Minnesota at 51 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Aaron in death were his grandparents: Ambrose and Marie Kramer; Reino and Audrey Tast; uncle, David Kramer; mother-in-law, Marilyn Lapos; and faithful furry companion, Teddy.
