Thomas Rokes

Thomas Lawrence Rokes was born September 28, 1948 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.  His parents were the late James and Betty Marie (Halvorson) Rokes.  Tom attended school in Battle Lake and graduated from the Henning High School with the class of 1968.  He was employed in construction for a time, but really enjoyed working the salvage yards and automobiles. Tom’s favorite hobby was fishing.

On October 9, 1993 Tom was united in marriage with Joyce Ann Wuollet at the United Methodist Church in Sebeka, Minnesota.  Tom and Joyce resided in Sebeka for a short time before making their home in Wadena. This past fall Tom and Joyce were joined by family and friends to celebrate their 25th Anniversary.

Tom passed away on December 27, 2018 at Comfort Care Cottage in Wadena, Minnesota at 70 years of age.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.  Preceding Tom in death were his grandparents; parents; sister-in-law, Judy; niece, Olivia; cousin, Larry Kemnitz.

Tom is survived by his wife, Joyce Rokes of Wadena; brothers: Steven Rokes of Clitherall; David (Shirley) Rokes of Hewitt; Bob Rokes of Henning; Ron Rokes of Alexandria; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
