I was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Steve and I met in Minneapolis and we were married on April 5th, 1969. We lived there about a year, then moved into the town of Verndale. In 1976 we moved to the country and have resided there to this day. We raised two sons: Daniel and Dana, and we have three granddaughters: Miranda, Megan and Makala and one great-grandson: Luke. Our winter sport for us all was snowmobiling. I always enjoyed being outside, especially in the summer and I always had a garden.
In my earlier years I drove truck with Steve until we started to raise pigs, which we had for ten years. I liked animals of all kinds, so I had many pets, including big and little pigs. I enjoyed some sports: softball, bowling and horseshoes.
My favorite things to do were digging into God’s word, participating in bible studies, Sunday schools, and working in children’s church, VBS and nursery.
On July 17, 2019, I passed away from ALS at our home in Verndale. Surviving me are my loving husband: Steve; two sons: Daniel (Belinda); and Dana (Kristie); three granddaughters: Miranda (Jake) Engebretson; Megan; and Makala; one great-grandson: Luke; three brothers: Alison; Bruce (Shirley); and Randall (Faye).
Bless all of you who were a part of my life on this earth.
But now I am with my Creator and the One who gave me a new birth!
