Norman Kiphuth

Norman Lester Kiphuth was born on October 7, 1958 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.  His parents were the late Ferdinand and Annie (Thibodeau) Kiphuth.  Norman grew up on the family farm in rural Erhard, Minnesota.  He attended school at School District #1385 rural, Erhard and later in Pelican Rapids. He was then employed at West Central Turkey Plant. 

Norman was united in marriage to Julie Renae Bachman in December 1981 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee, Minnesota. They were married for over ten years as their marriage was blessed with 2 sons: Nolan and Nick.  Norman was employed with Herzog Roofing in Detroit Lakes, retiring in 1988 due to an injury. 

On July 3, 2000 Norman was married to Carmen Evans in Sisseton, South Dakota.  In 2013 they made their home in New York Mills.  Norman enjoyed playing Yahtzee and card games, spending time with his family and keeping up with his grandkids.

On June 4, 2019 Norman passed away at his home in New York Mills, Minnesota, at 60 years of age.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.  Preceding Norman in death were his parents, Ferdinand and Annie;  and brother-in-law, Harvey Anderson.

Norman is survived by his wife, Carmen Kiphuth; sons: Nolan (Megan) Kiphuth and Nick (Sheena) Kiphuth; 3 grandchildren:  Caleb, Arlo and Cyrus; 4 sisters: Dorothy Anderson; Jane Kiphuth; Ruth (Eddie) Carlson and Elsie (Jerry) Lindsey; 2 brothers: Donald (Rae) Kiphuth and George (Beryl) Kiphuth; many other relatives and a host of friends.
