Mary Kay Gervais was born on December 20, 1949 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her parents were the late Darrel Holm and Katherine Ann (Holinga) Gervais. Mary Kay graduated from the Cooper High School in Robbinsdale with the class of 1967. She continued her education at North Hennepin Community College and then St. Cloud State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science and Associate Art Degree. Mary Kay was employed at JC Penny and General Electric. Retiring in 2001, she resided the past 17 years in Brooklyn Park.
Mary Kay was active in the Slovak Ladies Rosary Society. She loved watching the Minnesota Twins, shopping, reading and sending birthday, anniversary and special occasion cards to her family and friends.
On August 4, 2018 Mary Kay passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Brooklyn Park at 68 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding her in death were her maternal & paternal grandparents and Mom & Dad, Katherine and Darrel Holm.
Mary Kay is survived by her siblings: Kathy Magnuson-Spence of Henning; Greg Holm of Brooklyn Park and Pam (Les) Clark of Missoula, Montana; 3 nieces & nephews; 2 great-nephews; many other relatives and a host of friends.
