Lois Diane Burnham Sailer was born in Morris, Minnesota, on November 1, 1942, to Hancock farm couple Glenn and Bonnie Burnham. Her interest in homemaking developed through the encouragement of her mother and grandmother.
After graduating from high school, Lois earned a B.S. degree in social work, eventually being hired as a social worker by Wadena County Social Services. She specialized in Mental Health and Child Protection Services, fulfilling her desire to assist those that had misfortune come their way.
On June 23, 1983 Lois married Paul Sailer, resigning her position with Wadena County so that she could spend more time with their children Jody, Glenn, and Karen, focus on homemaking, and be supportive to her husband’s career. She had many interests including dancing, fishing, gardening, Bible studies, and visiting family members.
Lois’s spirit left her earthly body on December 21, 2019. She was her husband’s best friend, giving him the precious gift of loving companionship. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Bernice (Bonnie) Burnham.
Survived by husband, Paul; children: Jody Johnson-Huerbin (Mike), Glenn Johnson; stepdaughter, Karen Lovold (Jason); grandchildren: Danielle, Summer, Hunter, and Ella; siblings: Ronald Burnham (Karen); Allan Burnham (Ilene); many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
