Linda Davis

On February 22, 1941, Glenfield, ND welcomed a new baby girl, Linda Lou Hoffman. Linda was confirmed on August 5, 1956 in the Lutheran faith. Linda grew up in Glenfield, ND.  As a child she learned to tap dance and loved dancing in general.  She enjoyed playing the clarinet and playing basketball.  She was one of only five in her graduating class of 1959.  After graduation she attended business college in Fargo, ND.

She was united in marriage to Robert Papenfuss on December 6, 1959.  She became a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Corliss on February 14, 1960 and participated in many church activities and taught Sunday School for many years.  Their marriage was blessed with three children: Neal Papenfuss, Glenda (Pete) Wientjes and Cheryl (Dave) Romann; four grandchildren: Tyler Papenfuss, Cory (Mindy) Wientjes, Kyle (Samantha) Wientjes and Brian Romann; seven great-grandchildren: Esme, Adison, Autumn, Austin and Ashlynn Wientjes, Samantha and Avery Romann; and great-great-granddaughter Nora Kay Wegscheid. 

She was a great farm wife and homemaker who loved baking goodies and canned all sorts of food for her family and was very proud to have five generations.  She was also a Life Member of the Silverdale, Washington V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

She later married Billie Davis who predeceased her.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Mikel Hoffman and Sarah Jane (Wilson) Hoffman; brothers, Donald Hoffman and James Hoffmann; many other family members and friends.

She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and friends who know she is now at peace.
