Judy Lynn (Miller) Paurus was born on April 14, 1956 in Park Rapids, Minnesota. Her parents were the late Art and Esther (Schave) Miller. Judy was baptized and confirmed at the First English Lutheran Church in Menahga, Minnesota. Judy attended school in Menahga, graduating from Menahga High School with the Class of 1974.
On August 24, 1974 Judy was united in marriage to Terry Paurus at the First English Lutheran Church. Together they built their home in Wolf Lake, Minnesota. They raised two children: Andy and Katy.
Judy was employed at Mickelson Turkey Farms, until the birth of Andy. Terry and Judy built the dairy barn in 1984. They milked cows and farmed until selling the Holsteins in 2002. Terry and Judy continued to farm the land and raise beef cattle. Judy was employed at Barrel-O-Fun for the last 15 years, until her illness no longer allowed her to work.
Judy loved being with family and friends, especially her three grandchildren. She loved to laugh and had the best sense of humor. Judy enjoyed crocheting, canning, bird watching, and being outdoors. Judy also loved riding their Harley motorcycle, especially the trips to the Black Hills. She was grateful for the friends old and new that they met along the way.
On July 2, 2019 Judy passed away at her home after a long battle with cancer, at 63 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Judy in death were her father and mother, Art and Esther Miller.
