Jon Leverentz

Jon Michael Leverentz was born on October 8, 1950 at St. Barnabas Hospital in South Minneapolis, Minnesota. His parents are the late Ann Lorrain (Flett) Leverentz and Vernon J. Leverentz.  Jon attended school at Minnehaha and in 1960 Jon and his family moved to Edmunds, Washington where he attended Edmunds High School. In 1965, the Leverentz family moved to Dead Lake Township, rural Dent, Minnesota. Jon graduated from the Perham High School in Perham, Minnesota with the class of 1968. Jon was in an automobile accident in 1969.  He resided at home for a short time and then lived on his own with some outside help. John resided in the Twin Cities and most recently at Hammer Residences in Minnetonka.

On August 18, 2018 Jon passed away at the Hammer Residences in Minnetonka, Minnesota at 67 years of age. Preceding Jon in death were his father, Vernon on December 5, 1976; his mother, Ann on May 21, 2011; Aunt Rose; Uncle James; Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Oscar.

Jon is survived by his sister, Jaclyn Leverentz of Battle Lake; brother: Jim (Sheila) Leverentz of New Braunfels, Texas; nieces and nephew: Anna, Maria, and Christopher; 2 great-nephews and  one great niece;  many close and distant relatives and a host of friends.

Jon will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
