Jeanette Bernadine Kluenenberg was born on September 13, 1933 at home in Bluffton, Minnesota. Her parents were the late Joseph and Leona (Roggenkamp) Kluenenberg. Jeanette attended Parochial School in Bluffton and graduated from the Wadena High School with the class of 1951. She was employed as a secretary at Minnesota Motors and then at the Wadena Public School.
On August 9, 1956 Jeanette was united in marriage with George Wallgren at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with 4 children. Together Jeanette and George made their home in Bluffton where they raised their family. Jeanette was employed at home with Bluffton Mutual Insurance, the Dairy Lab and then for Polman Transfer for over 20 years. Jeanette was a life member at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church where she sang in the choir since she was 15 years old and was also the church organist for over 20 years.
During their younger years Jeanette and George enjoyed going to dances, playing pranks, bowling mixed double league with their close friends Jim and Bea. They loved taking their family on summer vacations every year to an area lake and spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jeanette was an avid Twins and Bluffton Braves fan and enjoyed a trip to the casino.
On February 22, 2019 Jeanette passed away peacefully at her home in Bluffton surrounded by her loving family and the gentle care of Knute Nelson Hospice at 85 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Jeanette in death were her parents, Joseph and Leona and her sister, Maureen Achter.
Jeanette is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, George Wallgren; 2 sons: Steve (Ellen) Wallgren and Kevin (Cindy) Wallgren; 2 daughters: Sue (Kelly) Lound and Ann (Scott) Stang; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren’ 2 brothers: Gary (Karen) Kluenenberg and Dick (Ranaye) Kluenenberg; 4 sisters: Bea Kupfer; Rose (Denny) Haugen; Donna (Steve) Oien; Joanne (Gus) Andrade; brothers-in-law: Gary Achter and Orin Petersen; sister-in-law, Mag Wallgren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
