Georgina Lura

Georgina “Georgie” Josephine (Eoas) Lura, was born April 24, 1927 to the late George and Clara (Reed) Eoas in Bismarck, North Dakota. She attended St. Paul High School, graduating with the class of 1946.  Georgie made her home in Barnesville, Minnesota where she raised her children. She did upholstery work and was a cook at Bernie’s Café.

On November 1, 1948 Georgie was united in marriage with Delbert Lohse. Their marriage was blessed with four children: Richard, Alonzo, Bonnie and Nola Mae. 

On July 25, 1975, Georgie was united in marriage to Robert Lura in Sisseton, South Dakota. They lived in Nebraska, North Dakota and traveled to many other states. 

When Robert passed away on October 24, 1985, Georgie made her home in Wadena, Minnesota where she enjoyed spending time with family and many friends. Georgie loved living at The Meadows and winning at Bingo.

On January 16, 2020, Georgie passed away at The Meadows in Wadena, Minnesota. Preceding her in death are her parents: George and Clara; Delbert Lohse; Robert Lura; son, Richard Lohse; and great grandsons: Dalton Rousslang and Nicholas Lohse.

Georgie is survived by her children: Alonzo Lohse; Bonnie (Lindsey) Gustafson; and Nola Mae Lohse; seven grandchildren: Lindi Lea, Carrie Jo, Nicole, Dominic, Zacariah, Rose and Dusty; five great grandchildren: Alison, Preston, Courtney, Skylar and Savion James; siblings: Paul Peacher and Daisey Melland; many other relatives and a host of friends.
