Frances Genevieve Cellette was born on September 18, 1934 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her parents were the late John and Jeanne (Lapage) Cellette.
Fran was baptized in 1934 and 1st Communion at Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church in South Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from the Edison High School in North East Minneapolis with the class of 1952.
On July 7, 1956, Frances was united in marriage with Alois “Al” Terveer at Our Lady of the Lordes Catholic Church. Their marriage was blessed with 6 children: Larry, Virginia, Jeanne, Monica, Caroline and Al Jr.
Fran and Al made their home in St. Paul, Minnesota and then moved to Thompson Grove (which is now Cottage Grove) in 1960. In 1968 they purchased the Terveer Family Farm in rural Aldrich, Minnesota where they farmed and raised their family. Retiring from farming in 1984 they made their home on West Leaf Lake where they loved family gatherings, fishing and sunsets. Fran also enjoyed visiting the casino, playing pull tabs, dice & card games, crossword puzzles, watching the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings.
On May 30, 2019, Frances passed away peacefully at the Henning Rehab and Healthcare Center at 84 years of age. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Fran is preceded in death by her parents, John and Jeanne Cellette; son, Larry Terveer; brothers: Joseph, Gaston, Gerard, George, Robert and one sister Rita.
Lovingly remembered by her husband, Alois “Al” Terveer; daughters: Virginia (Dave) Zeta of Wadena; Jeanne (Jerry) Schmidt of Wadena; Monica (Randy) Kallhoff of Dalton; Caroline (Jim) Montgomery of Fergus Falls; son: Al Terveer Jr. and fiancé Sara Glessing of Deer Creek; daughter-in-law, Jeri Terveer of Wadena; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Mumbleau of Andover; brothers: Richard Cellette of Delray, FL; John Cellette of Minneapolis; Louis Cellette of Coon Rapids; numerous relatives and friends.
