Dorothy Lovell was born on September 18, 1928 to the late Keith and Edna (Peterson) Foster at home in Leaf Lake Township, Otter Tail County, Minnesota. She attended Henning Public School graduating with the class of 1946. On the 7th of November, 1952, Dorothy was united in marriage to Richard Lovell in Seattle, Washington. Dorothy was a loving wife and mother to Richard and their six children as they made their home in Kent, Washington. Music was one of Dorothy’s gifts, becoming a talented pianist and singer. She devoted her spare time to church activities, including singing in a ladies’ trio for many years.
Dorothy and Richard moved back to Dorothy’s hometown of Henning in 1992 to be near their daughter Sue and her family, plus other relatives and friends.
On December 15, 2019, Dorothy was called to her eternal resting place under the gentle care of Good Samaritan Society, Battle Lake, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents: Keith and Edna Foster; husband, Richard; daughter, Cheryl Lynne; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; brother, Donald.
