Donna Jean (Dornbusch) Knickrehm was born on December 16, 1934 in Perham, Minnesota. Her parents were the late Fred and Flora (Roberts) Dornbusch. Donna grew up in Corliss Township, rural Perham. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church on December 6, 1955. Donna attended Country School District #225 Corliss Township and Perham High School. On July 27, 1962 Donna was united in marriage to Arnold Knickrehm in Campbell, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with 3 children. Donna and Arnold made their home and farmed in Butler until their retirement in 1997. Donna enjoyed gardening, canning, feeding deer, knitting, crocheting, birdwatching, cooking and baking.
On September 24, 2019 Donna passed away at Emmanuel Home Care in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota at 84 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Donna in death were her parents; sister: Doris Ruther; brothers: Vernon Dornbusch; Harry Dornbusch; Roy Dornbusch; Robert Dornbusch; Loren Dornbusch; Raymond Dornbusch; Elmer Dornbush; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law.
Donna is survived by her husband, Arnold Knickrehm of Perham; daughter: Brenda Knickrehm of Garfield; sons: David (Karen) Knickrehm of Menahga; Larry (Kris) Knickrehm of Menahga; 4 grandchildren: Ashley, Joshua, Kody and Kelsey; brother; Lavern Dornbusch of Perham; many other relatives and a host of friends.
