David Kyar Obituary

David Eugene Kyar was born on August 20, 1949 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota at the Wright Memorial Hospital to the late Albert & Hazel (Frank) Kyar. David grew up on the farm and truly loved the farm life, as he lived on the Century Farm for 60 years. David was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bertha, Minnesota in June of 1963.  After graduating from the Bertha-Hewitt High School in 1967, David entered the Army.

On July 21, 1973 David married Celesta Snyder in Hewitt, Minnesota. They were blessed with two sons, Kris and Kevin, who inherited the love of farming from their dad.  David was an active Elder of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Bartlett Township. He thoroughly enjoyed tinkering in his shop when he wasn’t tending to the chores of the farm.

David passed away on November 1, 2018 peacefully at his home in Hewitt. David is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Hazel Kyar; uncles, Leonard Frank and Rollyn (Bud) Frank; Uncle & Aunt, Kermith & Gladys Foss.

He will be missed by his wife, Celesta of Hewitt; two sons: Kris (Lisa) Kyar of Hewitt; Kevin (Gail) Kyar of Bertha; three grandchildren; Katlyn Kyar of Bertha; Ian Kyar of Bertha; Kaverick Kyar of Hewitt; and many other relatives, friends and neighbors.
