Carol Ann (Kueker) Tweten was born on March 31, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents were the late Elmer E. and Adele H. (Harsla) Kueker. Carol grew up in Bellwood, Illinois and graduated from Proviso High School with the class of 1967. She was employed with a bank for a short time. Carol was married for a time to James Olsen, together they resided in Nuremburg, Germany while James was in the service and moved to Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, upon their return. Carol and James were blessed with three sons.
On April 28, 1979 Carol married Andrew Tweten in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Carol was blessed with two stepsons. They resided in Rogers, Minnesota until retiring in 2002 and making their home in East Battle Lake of rural Vining, where Carol worked as a paraprofessional for the Fergus Falls school district. Andrew passed away on September 1, 2011. Carol recently made her home in New Brighton to be closer to her children.
Carol enjoyed gardening, sewing, spending time with her grandchildren and playing board games with family and friends.
On July 3, 2018 Carol passed away peacefully at J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Park at 69 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Carol in death were her parents and loving husband, Andrew.
Carol is survived by her children: Thaddeus (Melissa) Olsen of Blaine; Ryan (Carrie) Olsen of Minneapolis; Michael (Sabrina) Olsen of Andover; Scott (Linda) Tweten of Chandler, Arizona; Doug (Ginger) Tweten of Peoria, Arizona; 12 grandchildren; 2 sisters: Karen (Joe) Santanello of The Villages, Florida and Cindy Hodgson of The Villages, Florida; many other relatives and a host of friends.
