Angel Salathe

Angel Atreese Salathe was born September 16, 1972 in Miller, SD to Jerauld and Marlys (Morford) Salathe. She grew up on the family farm in South Dakota with her two older brothers and older sister until the family moved their farm to Minnesota in 1976.  Angel then attended school in New York Mills until her graduation in 1991 and went on to obtain her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in education. She had a full career, earning many awards for her involvement and dedication to troubled youth in the education system, and also coached several high school sports teams.

After many years of teaching in the education system, Angel began to explore her spirituality and follow her soul into a new world of helping others, fulfilling herself and being the best BEING she could be. She became a Reiki Master Teacher, Past Life Regression Counselor and Spiritual Coach, traveling around the United States guiding others with the bright light in her soul. To anyone that Angel worked on, her hands and energy were magical and paired with her unique personality, made her loved by everyone that knew her.

The passion she had for life and for others was undeniable. She loved bringing everyone along on her journey whether it be pictures, video or live streaming. She loved making maple syrup fresh from the woods (even with three feet of snow to get through), relaxing in the sun on the beach in California, hiking the Colorado mountains and four wheeling in Wyoming. She loved to travel both within and outside the United States and her visits to Australia and Italy were high points in her journey. She was working on creating a children’s book “The Adventures of the Little Green Shoe” based on her adventures. 

Angel passed away unexpectedly on July 23, 2018 in Denver, CO of cardiac arrest. She will be missed in this world by many and forgotten by none. Angel will always be a Compassionate Warrior of the Light.

She is survived in this world by her parents, Jerauld and Marlys Salathe; brothers, Delvin (Cathy) Salathe and Kelvin (Michelle) Salathe; sister, Kim Salathe; foreign exchange sister, Jo Beth (Sean) King-Burns; foreign exchange brother, Ilo (Adrianna) Leite; nieces: Erin (Jeremy) Sabers, Kendra (Zach) Snyder, Kayla Salathe, Brianna Salathe (Blake), and Samantha Salathe; nephews: Mychael Aker (Stacey) and Hunter Salathe; great nieces: Makenzie Snyder, Elsye Bittner and Lexi Sabers; great nephews: Kobe Snyder, Camren Snyder and Andy Sabers; special family friends: Mary Jo and Orv Gran; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many wonderful friends.
